SERVPRO Supports the 9/11 Nashville Stair Climb

7/22/2016 (Permalink)

We at SERVPRO stand firmly with all firefighters and the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities.

On September 11, 2016, the 7th Annual Nashville 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will take place at William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower in Downtown, Nashville, TN. On that day, 343 firefighters will put on their full gear and climb 110 stories to remember the 343 FDNY Firefighters who died at the Twin Towers.

This is the third year that SERVPRO will be a sponsor of this event and we are proud to be a part of such a respectful tribute. The Nashville 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is an emotional and grueling day as we remember the sacrifices that were made and the families that were left behind.

According to the official website by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, the 343 firefighters participating in the event will be wearing full gear (from 60 to 80 pounds) and climbing for someone specifically. Each climber will be given a badge to wear with the name and photograph of one of the FDNY firefighters killed on 9/11/01. Furthermore, 100% of funds raised go to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and are specifically earmarked to help families directly affected by 9/11/01.

We at SERVPRO stand firmly with all firefighters and the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities. We can never repay all of the selfless acts performed, so we hope that in this small way, we can say “thank you”.

Registration is open now here.
